At Data Medics our lab is equipped with an ISO Class 5 Clean Room.

How does the evaluation process work at Data Medics?  All evaluations are COMPLETELY FREE . Typically an evaluation can be completed within 24 hours of receiving the drive (during business hours).  

Is it really necessary to get the drive evaluated? Yes.  It is very important to know exactly what is damaged on the drive and what needs to be done in order to repair it / get the data back. Just as a caution some companies do charge for evaluations.  We do not, it just doesn't seem fair to the customer. The evaluation also enables us to give you a quote to get the data back.

Once I receive the quote am I obligated to proceed with recovery? No. Once you receive your quote it is up to you if you would like to proceed with recovery. Provided in the quote will be the cost of labor to get the data back and the cost of any donor parts if needed. If you decide not to proceed, the drive is returned to you, no questions asked, and there is no charge for our services up to that point.

What if I approve recovery but it is unsuccessful? We have the guarantee if we cannot get your data back there is no charge at all for our labor. We are very confident that we can get your data back that we take that risk.
