7200.7 PCB

Hey guys

One doubt please:

I have a 7200.7 PCB burned (makes the HDD click) but I can read ROM from it.

I have a donor PCB from the same model HDD, FW, PN, but the PCB model is not exactly the same (can't remember the model now, because I'm at home hehhe).
This donor PCB can spin the pacient and it doesn't click, but off course, it doesn't ID.
If I write pacient ROM on donor PCB (even slightly diferent) it might work, right?
Tomorrow I will test it anyway.

Bye

So, after a different PCB model from a 7200.7 but different HDD model, I got it back to work.

I've had a fair amount of success jumping a few board numbers when I didn't have the specific one handy, so I'm not surprised. As jol said, compare MCU and MC, if they match it's worth a try.
