Anybody work on this type of damage?

4GB Dane-Elec flash drive if that makes a difference. To me it looks like the break is too far into the circuitry to be recoverable but thought I'd ask.

Thanks Jared. I told my customer that IF a pro thinks it's recoverable to expect a cost of at least $1K. Any idea if I'm in the ballpark here or if you think the average cost for something like this would be more?

I don't think Arvika ever quotes more than around $650 USD. But, he can take a long time for monolith cases like that which are complex. So be sure to tell your customer it'll take a long time or just refer them out directly to him.

If he can get a dump of the NAND, he'll probably reconstruct the data in 20 minutes.

Amarbir,

Though I am pretty confident I could sand off the protective coating without causing further damage, I have never attempted it before and this is critical data so I'd rather not risk it.

Absolutely No Comparison With Arvika But i Can Nail Many Cases Now .Infact I Have Taken a Domain That i Will start Adding Monolith Stuff Etc Next Coming Month .If Data Is Critical Arvika Is The Boss ,If Sometimes You Feel You Wanna Get It Done Cheaper I Am Be At Your Service .

Hey, SPAM isn't actually prohibited here as long as it's data recovery related. SPAM away, just keep it honest spam.
