Rotten Bad Sectors in Target Drive

ARRRRGGGGGG!!!! I just hate when I get bad sectors in one of my target drives after a difficult clone. This 2TB was wiped and passed right before being used, and now after cloning in Data Extractor, R-Studio gets stuck at the 14GB mark every time I try to scan the clone. I'm gonna have to clone my stinking clone now. :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x

It is why we test our drives, then erase them and then check the SMART status before putting back on the shelf. I find that if you erase first, you will force the remapping of bad sectors and pass the test the follows immediately. That said, drives fail...usually when we don't wan them two. I pulled about 10 drives from our target drives shelf a couple of weeks ago, just because of this.

Yeah, it was fully wiped and passed right before it was used. Which is what annoys me the most. Must have failed during the two solid days of imaging to it.
