Seagate Now Giving Support on Tom's Hardware - What?

So I'm on Tom's hardware a minute ago and I see this pop up on the side of the page:


It's a Seagate branded chat widget on the storage section of Tom's Hardware forum!!! :lol:

I wonder if they are hoping to do some damage control over all the bad press they are getting when people keep talking about their failed drives.

I asked them if they were just trying to do damage control from all the bad drives they sold, and this was the response:

The purpose of this chat service is to provide information about Seagate products, to make sure customers purchase the appropriate items or aware of the features and functionality for our drives.

Though I suspect it's their hope to try and combat some of the bad press guys like us have been giving them on hardware forums.
