Sseagate Terminal commands under MAC

does anyone know if there is a different between using terminal commands under WIN OS than MAC ?

like CTRL + L for example

No, it shouldn't matter which host OS you are using, but the MacOS terminal is the Unix equivalent of a DOS prompt and nothing like hyperterminal.
