Tool to short read channel

I remember seeing a post about a tool to easily short Seagate read channel, but now I can't seem to find it. Anyone know who it was that's selling those?

Yup. That's the only one I know of. I've come very close to pulling the trigger on buying one myself. Let us know how you like it.

Yeah, I'm on a spending freeze at the moment. Until I get a few more projects closed out. Bank accounts are looking a bit lean after the end of year write off spending, haha.

A couple of pogo pins, a piece of prototype board, a push-button switch and some epoxy and Bob's your uncle! I've been thinking of buying some pogo pins to make a ROM bed-of-nails so I don't have to unsolder the bloody ROM to write to it, so this would be a good use of the leftovers.

Interesting, very interesting. I'd been considering getting a few sets of these to do just that: http://www.amazon.com/Pomona-72902-2-Mi ... o+grabbers

But, with the addition of WD boot ROM code to PC-3000 the need has been greatly diminished.

I already have those,but thanks. The problem is, some flash modules are very low profile, as discussed here, and the clips can't get a grip on things (just like me some times. )
