I had trouble sometime with non leg (flat ) ROM chips reading and writing. ( I dont know thecnical name of this chip ) So I have researched method for reading and writing.
I have found a new method now. I am using a HDD PCB and , using MRT .
Tested all HDD brand, and so many chip. Generally working perfect
As I remember tested Samsung, Toshiba, WD (U12 and U14) . 192,256, 512, 1024 kb Roms tested .
Not tested Seagate. So not need external programmer.
I would share my method later .
