Hey guys
I wanted to share something that happened to me today.
I had this WD3200BEVT-80A0RT0 that I swap heads (headmap 023). After head swap, SA backup, the usual. Created DE task, the system had 2 partitions, checked the folders to map of 1st partition, imaged them without any trouble.
Checked the folders of the 2º partition, mapped them and when I started to image, head 1 (physical) didn't read. So I imaged head 0 and 2 and got back to 1 after.
Couldn't read nothing (all black sectors). Tested heads on utility and they read flawlessly. WTF????
So, I did a module re-check and mod 33 (Plist) was bad (it wans't at first). Wrote it again from backup (the importance of a backup) and head 1 started to read again...
Never happened to me such a thing. Maybe it can help some of you with a strange thing like this.
Cheers
