I have a WD5000LMVW with bad head. looking on eBay for a donor disk and they are pretty expensive, is there any other hdd that I can use?

If you see here identify-wd-marvel-families-by-code-after-the-dash-t636.html
You can see at what family a drive belongs.
You just have to search for it after that.

Yes, as PCLab pointed out, there are many drives within a same family that can be used as donors and even some families that can be crossed with other families.

Just be sure that the TJ in the DCM code matches and look for a close date within the same (or a compatible) family.
