I`m trying to recover the data from it.

I think there is nothing to do with r-studio. but maybe like pc-3000 or DFL ? (I'm waiting for DFL-PCIe activation) can the problem can be solved with DFL-PCIe? Or could there be other things that make the problem? such as defective PCB, bios, etc.

Well, your methodology is all wrong.

#1. Why did you platter swap? Was the motor bad?
#2. After any physical internal repair, step one is always to image using proper equipment that can handle bad sectors. R-Studio, while it's a great program, does not qualify for this. You should even dare plug that thing into a Windows machine and let it attempt mounting it. That's just a great way to kill the drive off again.

What was the original problem with the drive?

Yes, motor was stuck.

History I don't know this is also a harddrive I got from a friend. So I have killed it and will probably need new head?

I am learning shown on the harsh and the expensive way :cry:
