Hello!

I have this model, when I try to detect the family I get the message "SED DRIVE LOCKED"

The disc works well, I can see videos and photos but it does not let me copy data

What family is that?

The error "sed drive locked" is similar to the famous SED DRIVE LOKED of the 2.5 "?

I'm not sure I follow what you're saying. Are you saying you can see data on the drive but can't copy the data? Or are you talking about backing up the drive's firmware?

PC-3000 can unlock most SED locked drives.

Yes, I can see the data but I can not write data on it. By data I mean 'personal' data like photos, videos, etc. Other issue is that the PC3000 is not able to read the family when I try to open the WD utility (that's when the SED DRIVE LOCKED error appears )

PC3000 won't ID the family of any SED locked drive while it is locked. How could it ID if it is locked out of the SA.
