This i go to and read once in blue moon ,I though you are talking about a forum .I want it to remain a quite place :mrgreen:

I take a piece of stiff paper like a business card.
cut it into a strip
fold back on itself about 1/4 inch from the end.
slide it between the platters
rotate until you feel the head
a little gentle tugging and it will pop off.
lintless paper is good

Well,
Have to noticed platter damage or bad sectors with your technique ,The technique i use is dangerous but ZERO platter damage
