Donor Hard Drive Search Engine

I plan to get back into listing my drives on http://www.mydonordrives.com by DeepSpar. It is very cool how I can connect a drive to the DeepSpar imager and it will populate the database with everything it can from the firmware, ie preamp information, SMART status, head map, serial number, etc. So, I need only enter a few extra items from the label, take a couple snapshots via their web gui, give it a price and it is listed.

Just imaging if we were to all list every one of our donor drives on that site. We need a part, search for it, find one that we already own or find one that we can purchase.

You have no prices posted, or option to buy on there. So what use is it?

If someone in the community needs one that is contacted by mail. Some discs have all the data, others are loading. (It takes a long time).

Any additional information you need about an HDD just consult and we will supply it.

Also if you need the firmware of a disc that is published we give it for free.

I'll allow the link, but given that the drives don't have option to buy online or full specs listed, it's no use for the search engine. The search is so you can find a drive to buy right away.

Overview of the service

• On the home page you will find the most search features. The easiest way to find for a donor is to enter its model name in the search bar.
  You can even use the /MODELNAME syntax directly in your browser address bar.
  The navigation tree also let you explore available models. Note that you don't need to access the leaf nodes to list models, as when clicking on any parent node, all descendant nodes are listed.

• The category pages are where you can compare the main settings of available hard drives for a given model.

• Lastly, the product pages are where you can find detailed informations about a specific hard drive.
  We are progressively adding mode details into the database, like heads and preamplifier informations.

Shipping options

We're in Switzerland and ship worldwide.
Basically, there are three kinds of regular shipping:

• priority with tracking with signature on delivery (= default option, used when clicking the "Buy now" button)
• priority without tracking (at your own risk)
• economy without tracking (at your own risk).

On demand before purchasing, express shipping is also available with FedEx International Priority:
