Hi, im a new data recovery noob. :D
I have seagate barracuda 7200.12 firmware CC46. With this harddrive my bios unable to detect this harddrive. but i able connect to F3 Terminal.

there is some problem when i executing ctrl + c (spin down) command. the drive always said "SATA reset" and the terminal get stuck.
so to be able to enter F3. i quickly do ctrl+z ==> 2>Z (sleep) before it reset.

some command i able to use :
2>Z
2>U
7>X
....

the goal is to be able to backup the data inside as much as possible, even when some data is corrupt by bad sector.
so how do i do the recovery ? is this possible :D ?

Do you value the data on your drive. If it is a firmware issue, the cost for a pro would be low (~$300). If you try yourself and don't properly diagnose the root issue, you will likely kill the drive.

That said, these drives are failing really bad these days. It is possible that it is toast. Here's a photo of one we assessed Thursday.

Hmm, that still big cost compared to my data value ;) . Its just family photos, so i hope i can learn here for fun. Not for commercial stuff.

That picture.look scary, but i can assure you my drive is not that bad. Because no wierd sound come out form the drive.

If the cost so big, i will let it be ...

Anyway there is a lot of data come out from T>V1 command. I cant copy & paste here. Is that mean my drive.toasted ?
