Seagate Head Replacment (ROM CHIP)

Hi,
I am Harish from Srilanka, My doubt is , it is necessary to move the rom chip from donor drive to patient drive after head replaced(7200.11,12), Even matching all parameters its clicking sound only.I have tried in 7200.10 its working fine with out moving rom chip. I am using PC3000 and HDD surgery tool.

look like the HSA replacement went bad
try to put it back to donor and see if its still working

Hello sir,
Terminal of donor drive after putting back head from patient drive , is it necessary to move head adaptive from donor hdd.

Maybe you have SA damage on patient drive and not even a good set of heads can read it.

Hello ,
Please do 2 things .Kindly attach rom on patient and donor to a post here .Secondly sometimes its necessary to copy RAP/CAP and SAP Module Tables From Donor Rom To Patient Rom .

I'm sorry but this is not a terminal log
to get A terminal log in PC3K you either enter the utility BEFORE powering on the drive
or power off/on the drive AGAIN after you entered the utility
