Top Secret Section

I want to get your thoughts on this idea. I'm thinking it might be worth creating a locked section of the forum accessible only to certain select members where we can share "secrets" that we don't want to post publicly but are willing to share with other contributing forum members. Of course all who are allowed in will have to agree not to re-post any of the information found in that section. Also only one member from each geographic region will be allowed in (so we aren't enabling any of our own competitors ). If another member from the same region wants access the section, it'll be at the sole discretion of the other member from that region.

Anyone else interested in this idea? Willing to share some "secrets" (I don't want to start it if I'll be the only contributor)?

I' d love to have access to that kind of information. However, as a DR novice, I have little to contribute, I suspect. Nevertheless, it's a great idea--if members feel comfortable contributing. In the DFL forum, we are admonished to only share information provided there with other DFL users, and I believe that works. Some former members have been banned for violating the policy.

Compared to a lot of guys, I'm a bit of a noob myself. But I've managed to squeeze some secrets out of a fair number of guys. Some of which I can share and some I can't w/o getting permission first. I just think a section not publically accessable might allow for some better information to be shared without fear of it all becoming public knowledge.

Still would like to hear the thoughts of more people about this concept.

I think it's a good idea as well. I'm in the same boat as Larry. I don't feel I could contribute a whole lot of data recovery knowledge, but I would look forward to the day when I might be granted entrance. If keeping it private encourages the pros to share those "top secret" tips and tricks, I say do it!!

I would assume that excludes those of us who don't do DR as our primary or only source of income? Is there a set of skill testing questions?

This is all stuff I wanted to get input on. I'd say the basic requirement would be that you have professional equipment such as PC-3000 and are a known contributor to the forum. My thinking is that I don't want the lurkers who just read but never contribute anything to get that type of information, but anyone who is a regular contributor of information should be allowed access regardless of how new they are. Perhaps we could even do it where we all nominate people who we feel are trustworthy and should have access???

Why not have a secure section for pc3k owners, the same for Deepspar, etc...and a sympathy section for SD owners
