hey guys whats the best way of figuring out which sata revision you need for compatabilities sake? i need to convert a 800069-003 Revp1 revision to 800066. for the 800066 there seems to be two different pcbs available on donor drive site . one being 2060-800066-004 or -006 . any tips would be great. also these need to be rom swapped too i believe?

Yes I have find A product. Bought . Used. working good
This product just allow to access SA User Data ecrypted.

Steps
Read patient ROM ( I am readin with external reader)
Write patient ROM to this product
Mount to patient drive.
Acess Servis area
User area data encrypted

I will open a topic about my experience For this drive and, I am guessing its about All SED drive

do not use another USB pcb
DO NOT TRY ROM SWAP TO DONOR PCB
I guess encription algoritm changing and User Area data decrypting with wrong key. Mean, loosing data.

I am using MRT
Do not try SMART function etc.

Back up copy0 , Copy1 manually
Back up All modules, And 183,189,190 manually.
189 190 doesnt have checksum.

Thic C type PCB very sensitive. Can bending and brekaking very fast

About Board 800022 (SATAs , three versions) which corresponds to the 800041(USB3.0) and 810012 (TYPC) three versions or even more

you must simply check the heads/spindle driver version

you'll see B20 B22 B23 (since today , never seen version B21)

just match the driver

wrong match , no spin
