    You want to test a drive's health, right? Go for Victoria HDD for instance. Check surface of the drive. Also check SMART. Those will tell you how the drive is and if't worth to continue to use it or not

    Most probably heads are damaged. Without checking it, I don't advise you to continue to power it up or damage can be bigger. Unfortunately this is not a DIY case...

    What you try to do is an image of that card ASAP. Try HDDSuperclone for that matter and then try to recover data from the image, I believe the card is bad.

    Hey Usually you only swap platters if you have spindle issues. You don't swap platters because of alignment issues that make everything very hard. Just swap heads!

    You have the original 190 untouched? I recommend you to write it back. After that why don't you call MRT support for them remotely check your case? I think your problem is elsewhere....

    It's weird: first people do the mistakes and after ask for help. You never format a drive!! Why the hell you did that?? Your best approach is to use the demo of some good recovery software like UFS Explorer and see what you get with that.

    If my memory is right, on DE you can create headmap using several option that pop up. Have you tested them?
