Hi Yes, it's a client case. I only had a green light a few weeks ago, after I gave him the value of recovery. I have a few cases that take months.... and sometimes, months again to pick up (when they pick up :( )....

    Toshiba USB to SATA possibility

OK, so I'm back to this case. My USB PCB is a G003296A and the SATA is a G003138A (removed from a 500GB HDD). Marvell chip and motor chip, both matched. I did the ROM swap (IC606 from USB) to SATA (IC602), but now it doesn't even power or spin... Could I have damaged the ROM??

Hi Guys Got a Hitachi 3TB that was pulled from a Iomega Home Media Network case. It is formated on XFS partition and I could get access to the files and folders (full name, size, etc), but the files are corrupted. Can this be any kind of encryption? I can't find any info about this. Thanks

How to check to see if Wd is encrpyted

Hey Guys Thanks for all the replies. I know the HDD PCB works with the Symwave chip. The PCB is bad. So, the best way is to now image it again to a WD with the same chip, but another question pops up: I don't have any WD USB or PCB available with the same chip, so I need to buy a new HDD...
